Big Band Reggae Album CoverThe Resolvers’ latest release, “Big Band Reggae”, hit the street February 16th 2012 exclusively as a physical release available at live performances.  Through initial record sales at live shows alone, The Resolvers’ are charting today (for the week of March 17th) on the Billboard Reggae Chart for the first time in the band’s history (See Billboard Reggae Charts for 3-17-12 BY CLICKING HERE). Considering the new music is not available online until March 20th, this marks a significant accomplishment for the band, who started performing together in 2007 and released their first and only CD “H’amsa” in 2008. Since their last release, the band has expanded from 5 to 10 members, including the addition of the talented female vocalist Sahara Smith, who is featured on Big Band Reggae’s lead single, “Out of My Frame”.  Also joining the ranks are the members of the “Dirty Hamsa Horn Stars”, a four member horn line that has served as a key addition in the development of The Resolvers’ distinctive “Big Band Reggae” sound.

“It’s really quite an accomplishment that the album hit the charts before dropping digitally. The idea was to reward the fans making it out to the shows with the music first. The fans responded very positively and the support really made a difference” says Mango Music Management’s David Broderick.

There are still a number of chances to pick up the album before it drops digitally March 20th 2012. The Resolvers will be playing this weekend as part of the Aura Music & Arts Festival in Saint Cloud (Orlando area) Florida. Passes for the festival are still available online at HTTP://AURA2012.EVENTBRITE.COM

“Out of My Frame” is the lead single of The Resolvers new release “Big Band Reggae”.
